Mrs Brown’s Boys is the multi-award winning situation comedy by Irish comedian and entertainer Brendan O’Carroll. Mrs Brown started life on Irish radio station RTE 2 and later evolved into a successful worldwide TV programme made in conjunction with BBC and RTE, which launched in 2011. Since then it has been shown all over the world and has led to a sell-out tour across Ireland, the UK and Canada. There is a major feature film and animated version in the pipeline. Rights to broadcasters in non-English speaking countries for local versions have now also been sold.

Simon Carty is  Brendan O’Carroll’s exclusive solicitor and has worked with him since 2001. Since the initial stages Simon has been involved alongside Brendan  in negotiations with the BBC and RTE in relation to the contract for all the TV series for Mrs Brown’s Boys, since the pilot, which was broadcast in January 2011 on RTE and March 2011 on the BBC.

He also was involved in agreeing the contracts and negotiations for all the live shows, DVD releases, book agreements and merchandising etc. Simon has a credit as a producer on all TV shows.

Mrs Brown’s Boys has won numerours awards including the IFTAs and most notably the recent BAFTA for Best Sit-Com.
